The lights are on
Just in case Killzone 3 owners don't have enough to shoot come February 22nd, Zipper Interactive has announced that players who buy specially marked copies of the game will get access to the SOCOM 4 multiplayer beta. Here are the full details.
Zipper Interactive's Chris Roper explained the deal on the official PlayStation Blog:
"To get early access to the beta, look for the SOCOM 4 callout on the front of all eligible copies of Killzone 3 (including both the standalone and Helghast Editions). Inside the box you’ll find a PSN code that you’ll be able to redeem for your early access as soon as the beta goes live. To find out when the SOCOM 4 multiplayer beta begins, be sure to check back at SOCOM.com once you pick up your copy of Killzone 3, hitting shelves on February 22nd."

sweet, especially as i'll be getting kz3 anyway. now i just have to figure our which copies online offer it
One of my coworkers keeps talking about the glory days of SOCOM, it's been getting me kind of excited to try out 4...
Wow....now I may have to get this game. Darn you and your enticing offers...
Man, this year is going to make me poorer.
Nice that SCEA is trying to incorporate some FPS fans to a TPS title. Hope S4 lives up to the expectations that the community has for it.
Awesome. Nothing else I can say.
Two Sharpshooter games in one day, very nice.
Just more reason to give what i think is gonna be one hell of a game a shot. I can't wait to see how they bring this story to a head. I was one of those people who actually enjoyed the first one even with its limitations. Just bought the second one, and so far its blowing my mind.
This to me is actually a nice bonus because I am not entirely sure about whether or not I want to buy that game. SOCOM 4 looks like it could be a nice TPS but there hasn't been much to see.
I will do this. So now I will have a beta for Battlefield 3 (thanks Medal of Honor) and SOCOM 4.
Reminds of playing demos like Sly 2 on Ratchet & Clank.
Games that have demos for other games that haven't been realeased yet.
sweet was planning on getting killzone 3. I hope Zipper made the online even better than mag
