You don't go to Ibiza or Oahu and race expensive cars and not come out a changed person. The game's island lifestyle, of course, includes lots of racing, but there's another side to it as well. Take a look at this trailer running through some of the appearance options in the game and how you can get your avatar to look the part.
Test Drive Unlimited 2 offers a wealth of avatar customization options from different clothing stores to hair stylists and actual plastic surgeons that will change how you look. More interestingly, however, doing so ties into the game's meta-structure. In order to change your avatar's appearance at all, you have to find the actual shops first by driving by the storefronts as you explore the islands. Furthermore, to buy individual items in these stores requires a certain Discovery level for that area. Your Discovery level is comprised of XP you earn for racing in random events, finding new roads, taking photos, and more.
