What The Hell Is Going On At GOG.com?

by Bryan Vore on Jan 14, 2011 at 06:30 AM

Good Old Games is at it again. The classic PC gaming download service has a new stunt in the works after its previous fake shut down.

GOG.com has a new page up with a bunch of crazy coding everywhere and yellow police tape. The following text warns readers not to enter said zone:

"Police Line. Do Not Click.

Something's happening here on GOG.com, as you can see. Very official. Anyone caught violating the police line will be shot on sight. Unfortunately, we can't comment on what's going on behind that police line, and we certainly can't encourage you to come back here and check the site over the weekend to see if clues have been revealed as to what it is. We most definitely can't suggest that you share any ideas you have about what this might be in the comments below.

Because that would be tempting you to click that link. And we all know what happens if you do that."

The main page contains the following warning as well: "Do not open until 1/18."

Looks like we'll get some clues over the weekend and the full reveal on Tuesday. Stay tuned for more info once this thing is announced. What do you think is happening over there?
