UPDATE: Akuma Spotted In MvC 3

Update: Another convincing piece of evidence has surfaced pointing to Akuma's appearance in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. A piece of promotional art appearing at EventHubs (shown below) depicts the fan-favorite alongside a bunch of confirmed characters. In case the previously leaked in-game screenshot before wasn't proof enough, now fighting fanatics have another reason to believe that Akuma will be in the final game.

Original Story:
While he hasn't been officially revealed, Akuma's place on Marvel vs. Capcom 3's roster is looking more likely. The evil karate master recently appeared in a leaked screenshot, indicating that we still don't know all of the characters in the upcoming fighting game.

A now-pulled preview of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 on NowGamer (as reported by Shoryuken) featured this image:

...which looks like pretty incontrovertible proof that Akuma will be joining his Capcom brethren in MvC 3. I like Akuma and everything, but he is awfully similar to Ryu, who is also in the game. With all of the possible Street Fighter characters, wouldn't it be better to get a little more variety in there?
