THQ Planning Homefront 2

At a recent THQ, executive VP Danny Bilson talked about the future of the franchise, including the fact that the company is already planning the sequel.

The first Homefront might not come out until March 8, but that doesn't mean that THQ doesn't have big plans for the property. THQ has previously been open about its desire to make many Homefront titles, and G4 reports that Bilson once again stated that there will be a Homefront 2.

Homefront posits a North Korean invasion of America in 2027, and this turn of events could easily lend itself to other scenarios around the globe.

  • hope the first homefront will kick arse

  • sounds interesting enough... hopefully it will kill the call of duty franchise
  • That new logo's got them feeling saucy. Work on a sequel before the launch of the first installment? That's a bold move.
  • If the game is as great as it is looking, then go for it, but I think they should wait to see how the game is received first.

  • So far this game looks promising. I hope it can deliver. That way a sequel would be welcoming.

  • The public has yet to play the first and yet I'm already psyched about the second.

  • Re-draft me to kick sum korean commie ass!!
  • Just another piece of the marketing puzzle.

  • I have high hopes for this game.  Can't wait to see how it turns out.

  • Could this be a contender to kill Call of Duty - Medal of Honor had a chance and blew it...

  • I won't buy either due to the multiplayer angle that requires you to buy it new to have full access.

Sad, this game looked good. Unfortunately, they lost me as a customer before either game came out.
  • I'm sure they'll quickly change their minds after the game is a complete flop.
  • sigh...

Come on GI don't fall for these blatant marketing ploys.

  • Bold move putting money into a sequel for a game that may or may not make them money.

I have 0 expectations for this game, but I guess that means I can't be disappointed with it.

  • Reminds of Resistance for some reason. (shrugs) Looking forward to the first one being good.

  • Homefront wouldn't kill the COD franchise however, COD needs to end
  • Here's to hoping the first Homefront will make sequels worth it.

So far, I am very interested in this game.

  • The First one didnt even come out yet. They just expect to sell well.
  • sound like there counting there chickens before they hatch, i dont think this game has any thing new or interesting to offer. looks pretty flat.
