Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition Includes Friend Codes

by Matthew Kato on Jan 13, 2011 at 02:41 AM

Capcom has some great multiplayer plans for Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition when the game launches with the 3DS system in Japan on February 26, including the use of friend codes.

Although the reviled friend codes are being used for Friend Matches, there are plenty of other online features that make the game stand out, according to Japanese weekly magazine Famitsu.

Apart from friends you might have exchanged codes with, players can also face off against anyone in the Internet Versus mode or play locally. More interestingly, the game's Download mode lets you play with someone else on a 3DS even if they don't have the cart themselves. Players who download the game can even pass it to others even if the original host has left. Furthermore, the game lets you set up an online slogan for your character, a figure battle mode, SSFIV's Arcade Challenge, and more.
