The lights are on
No, but Gameloft would sure like you to think there is. Gameloft has released a trailer for their latest mobile project, an iPhone and iPad game that looks an awful lot like another fantasy action/adventure. We don't want to name any names, but it rhymes with Megend of Melda. The newly revealed game doesn't have a name attached yet, but it's hard not to notice the similarities to Nintendo's classic series. The world is filled with lush forests and magic. The hero appears to move through a third-person action-oriented world. He rides a brown horse across the grasslands. They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. We tend to think that's something that people who copy other people say a lot to cover their tracks. No matter what you think of the similarities, the game looks quite visually attractive for a new mobile game. Check out the video below.

megend of melda lol
A talking tree with a mustache and a fairy like being flying out from and around it...hmmm I'm just saying hmm
"We don't want to name any names, but it rhymes with Megend of Melda"
This DOES remind me of that game The Wegend of Telda!
Thatis the game you were referring to, right?
I think I saw a statue of Ganon and the Deku Tree.
Way to go rip-off again, Gameloft!
I know Gameloft shamelessly rips off games but I think this could introduce casual iphone gamers to more serious games.
I dunno, that trailer gave me more of a Minal Mantasy vibe.
are they sure this isnt a zelda game? because they should check again
That looks pretty awesome to be honest. Regardless of it's huge resemblance to Megend of Melda. I love that game and as long as it's an awesome adventure game I'm more than willing to play. It's just a shame that it is for the iPhone. Oh well.
Doesn't have a name attached to it yet? Must be hard for Gameloft to find a rhyme for 'Zelda' :) This doesn't even seem smart at all. They're ripping off the wrong Zelda if you ask me. Phantom Hourglass/Spirit Tracks PERFECTLY tweaked the design (well, Spirit Tracks did it perfectly. Phantom Hourglass sucks compares to it) to work with touch screen controls. But it looks like Gameloft's shooting to rip off Ocarina/Majora's Mask/Twilight Princess.
This is getting ridiculous, but at least they're playing along with "The Gameloft Game". You know? Where you pick a popular game than try and guess what Gameloft's rip off will be called? God of War = Hero of Sparta. Modern Warfare = Modern Combat. Halo = NOVA. Uncharted = Shadow Guardian (that was a tough one!). Resident Evil 5 = Zombie Infection, etc.
What oh what could their Legend of Zelda be called....
Speaking of Zelda ripoffs, whatever happened to EA Japan's "Tsumiji" for DS?
Rhymes with Megend of Melda........ OMG how dare they copy Eathworm Jim!
Some day these guys will have an original idea...
The face on the tree kind of scares me...
