Ignition Consolidates Teams Under One Roof

Things just got cozier for Ignition; the publisher of Deadly Premonition, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, and the upcoming El Shaddai has announced that it's consolidating its branches into a single location. What does that mean for the company's current projects?

Not much. In a press release Ignition stated that its upcoming FPS, Reich, is still in development at the company's main U.S. office in Austin. From now on everyone for the company will be working out of the Texas-based office, which Ignition is hoping will "enhance team work and efficiency," and "create a stronger and more focused vision." The company will also be hiring new personnel for both its publishing and development teams. You can find out more information on what positions are available at Ignition's website.

  • Deadly Premonition was a very overlooked game that was a great deal for 20$. Always felt if you combined Alan Wake and Deadly Premonition you would get the perfect game.

Let us all hope that more games like Deadly Premonition and Muramasa come out, as a result of this move.
  • Couldn't ask for a better city. I love my adopted home.
  • God I hope we get a Deadly Premonition sequel or prequel.
  • i could go for some more deadly premonition

  • Oh cool! I didn't know Reich wasn't cancelled. I also didn't know Ignition had an Austin studio - the studio working on Reich was in Florida.

At any rate, this article seems confused. It seems to suggest that the studios who made their JAPANESE games - Deadly Premonition, Muramasa, etc. - are being consolidated into a single studio. Not their American game studios.

Neat. Good news for us - Reich looked cool as hell.

  • Working in a centralized location should definitely help fuel the productivity and creativity of current and future products. Let's hope we get more games like Deadly Premonition as a result.

  • I forgot that they did Muramasa. Say what you will, but I personally loved that game.

  • I love muramasa so I have to get el Shaddai.
