The lights are on
Konami has given up the goods on the latest installment of Silent Hill, Silent Hill: Downpour, and it's all in the latest issue of Game Informer Magazine. We can't divulge too many details here, but expect to see some new places in Silent Hill and a whole lot of water. It's falling from the sky! It's running from the ceiling! It's in puddles on the ground! If you're hydrophobic, you're probably already drying your pants in terror.
Look for more details (OK, actual details) in the February issue, which should be hitting your mailbox soon.

awesome new silent hill game! woooo!
Hopefully this revitalizes the survival-horror genre. I have liked all the Silent Hill games really, even Homecoming was decent. The Room was a bit much, but it wasnt really a Silent Hill game. This looks killer though. That screenie is in-game I hope? Is the water in this the equivalent of darkness in Alan Wake?! Im all for this, sounds great!
So, this guy's dark past involves chronic bed-wetting?
Somehow, even the giant doll monster from Homecoming was scarier.
They could take some cues from Amnesia, the water monster in that game was pretty freaky.
Give us a moody, depressed atmosphere and some well thought-out enemies and I'm in.
I actually ended up enjoying Homecoming more than I originally thought. It does a good job of being creepy. With progress, this could be a great game.
This looks like it will be a good game. I just hope the music is as good as it has been in the past. Since Akira Yamaoka left Konami last year, the music may not be as good, but I'll keep my hopes up.
You jerks.
I love Silent Hill, can't wait!
While the Silent Hill series isn't as good as it used to I'm still interested in the series and Downpour sounds like it might be pretty cool.
I might rent before I buy. I love the first few Silent Hill games, but that was about it.
Despite the bad reviews, I loved Homecoming, and I have high hopes for this game as well.
