Chinese Site Has More Details On Still-Unannounced PlayStation Phone

by Jeff Cork on Jan 08, 2011 at 08:19 AM

CES is nearly over, and Sony still hasn't bothered to talk about the PlayStation Phone. The device has long been rumored, and details have been trickling out over the past few days. The Chinese Web site IT168 has released the most comprehensive look at the PlayStation Phone thus far, and we can't help but wonder why Sony doesn't just cop up to it at this point.

The phone has is powered with a 1GHz Snapdragon process, and has a 4" LCD screen with a resolution of 854 x 480, 512 MB of RAM, 512 MB of ROM, a 5 megapixel camera, and slots for a MicroSD card, SIM card, and a micro-USB. Bear in mind that these aren't official hardware specs, and some of these things could very well change when the unit is released someday. Games will be launched from an app called the PlayStation Pocket, which is a pretty cute nod to the past.

Check out the site for loads of pictures of the device, along with videos of it in action.
