While chances are you won’t be in Japan for the upcoming Nintendo World 3DS event, the impressive lineup of playable titles is still worth a gander. Held at the Makuhari Messe – the same location as the annual Tokyo Game Show – the event runs January 8 through January 10 and marks the first chance consumers have to get their hands on the anticipated portable product.

EDIT: Cool cause i just didn't drop 160 bones on a DSIxl or anything right? I'm SO PREPPED to drop probably $300 on another system right now. The only games of these that I care about are Star Fox OOT MGS DoA Animal Crossing and a few others also looking at the list it seems as if the 3DS will have Miis. good because I didn't already hate their limited customization on the Wii already. In a related note why didnt OOT SSB or Star Fox 64 come out on original DS it had the capabilities to release them!

Kinda disappointing to see so many people excited to play remakes... Really Star Fox 64 is what people are excited about? Zelda and Mario kart??? I'm really only excited over 2 games Resident Evil: Mercenaries and Kid Icarus Uprising. I've always liked the merc mini game, and i'm hoping this game will fully develop the mini game in to a full fledge game of its own. Kid Icarus looks cool and its something new. Everything else on there has been done, unless they are actually new games with the misleading tacked on title of 3D.
