DC Universe Online Release Date Announced
The PS3 and PC superhero MMO is only a few weeks from release.
After some delays, the comic book-themed MMO is on track to release on January 11th (or January 14th for the United Kingdom). The PC version will run $49.99, and the PS3 version is $59.99. Whichever platform you play on, you'll get the first 30 days for free, which will roll over into a $15 monthly subscription. If you're confident that you're in for the long haul, you can throw down $199 for a lifetime subscription.
A few of our editors have had a chance to dig into the recent beta, and found that the game has been much improved in recent months. That said, January 11th will be an ambitious date to hit, as the game still needs lots of polish before it is in an ideal shape for public release.
