The lights are on
After playing classics like Donkey Kong Country, GoldenEye 007, and Banjo Kazooie, I was prepared to follow Rare to the end. I bought 2001's Conker's Bad Fur Day for the Nintendo 64 on blind faith alone. I went in expecting another solid platforming experiences, which the developer was known for. What I got was a buffet of great gameplay, memorable characters, and hilariously crude humor that holds up to this day. Has any game before or after ever featured a gigantic singing, slinging pile of excrement?
Join Dan Ryckert,Matt Helgeson, Andrew Reiner, and I as we revisit this N64 classic. Come for the singing poop, stick around for the engaging discussion regarding the Matrix universe.

I have unfortunatly never played the game, but watching it was awesome! The opening was freaking epic, Clockwork Orange FTW!
Haha how was this not a super replay??
Conker's Bad Fur Day...what a great game for Replay:) I only barely played this on N64, but I was aware of it, so seeing it in action - and hopping around to various points of interest - was awesome. Thanks for that! Though personally, I was more of a Perfect Dark and Jet Force Gemini kid back then;) By the time Conker rolled around, I had moved onto the PS2.
I will say this though; Conker's humor does, in fact, hold up better than garbage like Boogerman and other gross-out "humor" of the 90's. That was surprising.
Chameleon Twist though got kinda screwed. You guys played that Muppet platformer for PSX longer than Chameleon Twist! Chameleon Twist at least was the first 3D action game to employ a 100% automatic camera, and that constant frame of reference makes it more playable than a game where you have to control the camera and character at the same time. That's why games like Devil May Cry, God of War and Mario Galaxy are more playable than early 3D games - because of their 100% automatic/cinematic cameras. It's practically as playable as 2D, and Chameleon Twist was the first game to do it. That's gotta count for something, right?
Shortest Roulette ever, great episode.
i like the song at the end XD
when are we getting a new super replay
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
One of the funniest games ever
Conker's Bad Fur Day was an incredibly fun and entertaining game on so many levels. I purchased the Xbox Remastered version, and I played it a lot. I really hoe Rare eventually makes a sequel.
I remember playing Jet Force Gemini for months, beating the game every week. It was an excellent early action RPG. By today's standards, JFG would still be a lo of fun, but I doubt the game holds up well overall.
Great episode as always.
In the latest issue of Game Informer you guys did an article on cult classics. Conker's Bad Fur Day should have made that list!
Great replay! Please do Shadowrun (Genesis) next. Also, how did all these spammers make it into the comments? Lame.
Probably one of my all-time favorite games!!! Still got the N64 hooked up and thats the game in it now. I still play this from time to time and it never gets old. They need to make a sequel to this game!!!
The book > The movie
guys, you can deflect the thrown poo balls with your T.P.
Why isnt this a super replay? I DEMAND SATISFACTION!!!
