Console Purchase Leads Police To Notorious Chinese Gangster

by Matt Bertz on Dec 15, 2010 at 08:30 AM

After using a stolen credit card to purchase two game consoles, the suspected leader of a Chinese organized crime syndicate is now in the custody of Japanese police.

Though he's employed at a Chinese restaurant, the 37-year-old Rai Kinzan is suspected of being the leader of Dragon, a Chinese organized crime outfit that steals credit card information to make purchases and then redistributes the products on the black market. The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department busted him after he tried to buy the two game consoles online for ¥39,000 ($465) using a stolen credit card earlier this year. According to the translation by Kotaku, Kinzan says he has no recollection of ever making the purchase.

What do you think is the preferred console for gangsters?
