Mass Effect 3 Debut Trailer Shown At VGAs

BioWare has been teasing its next game for quite some time, and as it turns out, yes it is Mass Effect 3 (though we all already knew that). Footage shown at the VGAs didn't reveal much, but was certainly on point with the leaked information from EAs online store that appeared earlier this week (and was quickly removed). It listed Mass Effect 3 along with a product description.

Here's a refresher:

"Earth is burning. Striking from beyond known space, a race of terrifying machines have begun their destruction of the human race. As Commander Shepard, an Alliance Marine, your only hope for saving mankind is to rally the civilizations of the galaxy and launch one final mission to take back the Earth."

We'll provide more details as news breaks.

From that screen shot, it looks they strayed from what we know as Mass Effect, as in graphics wise and possibly gameplay ? Could they be making drastic changes for the 3rd entry ?

The trailer sucked, but I'm glad for the release date. It's unfortunate that it comes out as soon as I start my freshman year in college. I won't get ANY work done.

EDIT: Thank god for no multiplayer announcement.

Also this better not be the last opportunity to explore the Mass Effect universe. I heard that it was designed to be a trilogy, but this game will not satiate my need for Mass Effect

I seriously doubt they'll make their schedule release date but if Mass Effect 3 and The Elder Scrolls V both ship as expected, best year ever.
