Journey Screens And First Trailer

With titles like flOw and Flower, ThatGameCompany is quickly becoming one of our favorite developers of downloadable titles. It’s newest game will take players on a solitary journey. The title’s first trailer seems introspective enough.

Hopefully Sony's new DLG will be out early next year, because we’re eager to play this one. Check out the trailer and screens below.

  • Looks kinda cool.

  • I'm definitely looking forward to this.  I loved Flower.  Hopefully Journey will be just as awesome.

  • That's amazing. This is a must-play.

  • Alright! I've been eagerly awaiting this since I heard about the game. The music in this trailer is quite amazing. It's about time somebody made a half-decent (or in this case, seemingly excellent) orchestral soundtrack for a video game.
  • Really excited to finally play this.  All of their past games have been brilliant works of art and this one will be no different. :)

  • I hope ThatGameCompany also releases a demo too.
  • Ben!

    It's = it is

    Its = possessive

    Sorry, been seeing this a lot on the site and had to point it out. :) lrn2proofread nub lol

    j/k of course.

    Now then...

    This game is beautiful. The environments seem so desolate...I wonder how it's going to play.

  • This game looks so epic(in its own way so keep your trap shuts about trying to tell me what epic is).

    I've been keepin' an eye on this one for awhile. Can't wait for its release.

  • Yeah, I'm gonna have to play this. I haven't played flOw or Flower, but I may have to if this game ends up impressing me.
  • Wow this looks amazing.

  • It seems unique in its own way, like all their other games. I'll wait adn see what comes of it. Game developers should make more games like this that draw people in for a reason that know one really knows.

  • Flower was so amazing, I'm definitely on board for this.

  • Looks very unique and interesting. I was thinking of getting a PS3 come tax time, and this is just another reason to push me towards doing it.

  • Looks interesting!

  • That music made me wanna cry, but i didn't cause i'm a MAN!!!!.....*sniffle* but yeah this looks might interesting and i look forward to seeing more of it
  • I love games like Flow and Flower and this looks great too. Something outside of the "normal" game spectrum is always refreshing.

    I'm really likin the art style they chose for this too.

  • I'm so stoked for this game![great, now I'm beginning to sound like a frat boy].

    Anyway, I'm real interested to see how they make such a solitary venture fun and interesting without praying on feelings of isolation and depression. Granted, it's obvious Journey has two player co-op, but from what I've learned, there is very little interaction between the two. ThatGameCompany have done some really cool and deep games, but nothing real sad or depressing, and I would like to see that continue.

    Don't get me wrong, I like deep games, but I don't want to feel like I just ran the gauntlet on my emotions and moral standing on the world. My karma is already bad as it is. :)
  • this all looks fantastic, but im really eager to know what the hook is.  Will there be an innovative control scheme, such as in flower, or will we just walk across an imense landscape with your standard analog controls? or maybe some interesting platforming will be implemeneted.  I'm eager to see what this ends up being.

  • this game doesnt look interesting AT ALL!!!

    but, ive been proven wrong before. hopefully this is one of those times.

  • NICE, i think that the coolest part of this is the interactions with the other player in your world and how you can only communicate through music,and you can decide to work togethor or not, awesome music too :D
