EA Store Reveals First Mass Effect 3 Details
The fact that the third installment to the popular Mass Effect role-playing game is in the works should surprise no one. What is shocking, however, is that EA announced the first details about the highly anticipated finale to the trilogy on its seldom visited EA Store website.
Though EA has since taken the page down, the original product listing revealed the loose plot line in the following product description: "Earth is burning. Striking from beyond known space, a race of terrifying machines have begun their destruction of the human race. As Commander Shepard, an Alliance Marine, your only hope for saving mankind is to rally the civilizations of the galaxy and launch one final mission to take back the Earth."
Sounds like Shepard has a lot of alliance building to perform if he or she wants to preserve the human race. I guess I shouldn't have killed all those politicians and ruined human-alien relations in the first game...
BioWare is showing off its next game at the 2010 Spike TV VGAs this weekend, and the smart money is on Commander Shepard making an appearance.
