The lights are on
It sounds absurd that a boxing game is considered one of the all-time greatest NES games considering its competition on the system, but Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! deserves its place in gaming history. While other boxing titles would allow you to mash buttons until your opponent fell to the canvas, Punch-Out required immaculate timing and memorization skills. In this manner, it was almost like a series of difficult boss fights that led up to the most difficult of all...Iron Mike.
Watch below as Andrew Reiner, Bryan Vore, Joe Juba, and myself take Little Mac up the ranks towards the Baddest Man on the Planet. How will we fare against the legend?

awesome replay. lmao at dan. recommend streets of rage 2 next. i never beat tyson.
Twitchin' Dan lmao. That was great, but you guys need to figure out a way to get the camera on the side of the vid so we can see everyone and the game at the same time. That was a great vid too, and I couldnt watch the game cause' I kept seeing Dan Stand up and make funny faces.
Good replay guys, but being a gaming authority, Joe you should have beaten Glass Joe in under 50 seconds. You can get a couple stars before he does his back up move, and then star punch him as he steps forward and end the fight in 1 knockdown
The first time I beat Tyson it was by decision, and I think that was the most accomplished I ever felt beating a game until Zelda Orcarina came out. I remember my mom thinking I had lost my mind because i was cheering so hard lol.
I bet him by KO everytime after that. To beat him you definitely have to approach the fight more defensively than any other. I remember in the Nintendo Power strategy guide they even said not to throw a punch at him for the first 90 seconds, and just dodge because most people dont have the reflexes to punch and then dodge his counter punch.
When he blinks you can punch him and get a star. and when he throws those body blows you can counter and hit him in the bread basket.
I never beat Tyson, and I got to Super Macho Man once. I was never patient enough to beat Punch Out.
I have beaten Mike Tyson, in order to get a decision over him you require 5K points. I never knocked him out, but I got a decision victory over him many times.
Way to go Dan! I definitely get tense and twitchy playing old-school games. And to this day, I can't play a racing game without sitting on the edge of my couch, leaning forward towards the tv, with the controller tight to my chest.
Best....Replay....yet! That was so funny. I also like the 2nd camera pointin at ya guys, your reactions are hilarious. I do the same thing when I play too Dan.
What about doin a Replay on Clay Fighters,7 Up Cool Spot or Fighting Force 64.

Great replay! Haven't laughed so hard at anything all week like I did during this video.
Oh and you guys should watch this guy do a speed run on this game:
My god Dan was like a five year old. He's worse than me jumping around! Dan, I think you need a chill pill. That Amacon thing was funny. And little mac's corner guy DOES look like Winslow.
I've never seen Dan get so crazy, but it's hilarious!!
that was the greatest replay ever!! u guys just made my whole day. dan's reactions are super hilarious! u guys should put a camera on every replay from now on. it makes it so much more awsome.
this game is still great! even by today's standards.i loved it then, and i adore even more now,its truly a gem,and i still remember the night when i first beat tyson,it was on the night before hurricane andrew came by south florida, and i was young,so my folks told me to play whatever games i had cause the electricity would be off for a few day,so live it up while i can,so i did,and in that eventful night, for the first time in my life as a gamer my finger speed was faster than mike tyson, and i knocked him out!in my excitement, screaming and hollering,i notice it was 1am and my folks said its time to go to bed, that night i went to bed felling like a heavy weight champ, even if when i awoke everything was a disater, for a few moments and years to come, something that could have left a scarring memory in my mind, provided a great feeling and memory for the remainder of my life,i thank you mike tyson's punchout!
Haha, when you guys pulled up the picture in picture, that was definitely the best part. Dan twitches and other movements remind me when I played games with my little sister and she'd kick or turn the controller... before motion gaming lmao great replay guys, but I wanna see Ghouls and Ghosts or Demon Crest!
