The lights are on
After a short stint of radio silence, Mega Man creator and ex-Capcom staffer Keiji Inafune has emerged via a personal blog. On it, he talks about what kinds of games he wishes to make, and extending his reach beyond software.According to andriasang, he says he wants to make games. He clarifies this rather obvious statement by saying he wants to develop titles for consoles and handheld systems, but also extend to online games, social games, and more. He also mentions interest in movies, books, and manga.
Inafune’s freedom from a salaried position also appears to have sparked some excitement in him, which he shares:
"I'd like to challenge things that I couldn't do during my salaryman era and greatly exceed my former self."Source: Inafune's Blog

I think this is great! Sometimes you need to strike out on your own to have the creative freedom to make awesome games. It would be a dream to be able to work for Inafune-san someday.
Inafune wants to make games?!? No Way!! That's crazy, that a man in the game industry for at least 20 years wants to makes game, color me confused.
its great to see hes feeling good. i'm sure someone with amazing talent like Inafune will do something cool.
Nothing embodies the hopeful blank slate like a freshly liberated former businessman. Yay Inafune, best of luck in your future ventures.
Nice! Welcome back to inspiration, Inafune. I can't wait to play some of the games he's gonna make.
I'd like to read his blog without having to copy/paste it into Google Translate.
Oh well, what can you do. I'm not going to tell the man to learn full English just so I can read it.
Anyway, good for him. Independence always does feel liberating.
Dope, I am behind this guy and his Japan-bashing 100%
I find his ambition and obvious passion for gaming refreshing. Nice to see him free from his shackles and able to pursue whatever he wishes.
I hope he continues to make quality titles...but topping Mega Man will be extremely difficult.
Yay orginal IPs coming our way
