Some 8-Bit Parodies For Your Viewing Pleasure

by Jeff Marchiafava on Nov 27, 2010 at 05:00 AM

Tired of spending time with your in-laws? Tell them you have to check your work email, then watch these entertaining videos from YouTube user DoctorOctoroc instead.

First up is a parody of Final Fantasy IV's Evil Wall battle, where the Evil Wall has been replaced by an Xbox 360 possessed by Bill Gates. Be sure to check out the names of the attacks, which are pretty funny:

Next comes a parody of Jersey Shore, in the style of a 16-bit RPG. In addition to creating all of the graphics and animation, DoctorOctoroc also created the soundtrack, which you can download from his website here.

The last video is an 8-bit choose your own adventure remake of Glee. To be honest, I don't even know if this is a parody or tribute, but I'm sure people who like the show will probably enjoy it either way. Guess what? You can also download the OST for that one, too.

DoctoOctoroc also created an epic 8-bit recreation of Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, available for viewing at his YouTube page. If your in-laws ask you what that catchy chiptune music has to do with checking your work email, just say it's important research, then shut them up with more turkey.
