John Carmack Wants To Get Kinected
Even though he doesn't have time for it what with building Rage, id Software tech mastermind John Carmack told Joystiq that he has "an itch to make a Kinect title for Xbox Live."
Don't worry about Rage being dumbed down to work with motion controls, though. "I can't use Kinect for our real games; there just isn't a place for our current FPSes on there," Carmack told the website.
Carmack's enthusiasm for less complex platforms than HD consoles and big-budget PCs is well known, with previous projects like mobile title Orcs & Elves allowing him to get back to his roots. Still, Kinect's capability to inspire a brilliant mind like that of the man who is in many ways the father of 3D graphics is impressive.
