A New Challenger Has Arrived In Mario Bros. Crossover
Fans of the Flash game Super Mario Bros. Crossover will have a new character to play with later this month. The tank from Blaster Master, Sophia the Third, will be joining other recognizable characters such as Simon Belmont, Mega-Man, and Link in this completely unauthorized mashup.
As you can see from the clip above, Sophia has homing missiles, can stick to walls and ceilings, and can even hover. Developer Jay Pavlina said back in May that he wanted to add more characters when the game launched in April, but he wasn’t able to at the time. Since then, two characters from that wish list—Ninja Gaiden’s Ryu Hayabusa, and now Sophia—are in the game. Will we be seeing Luigi and Bionic Commando next? Only time will tell.
