Shinji Mikami Hires Talented ex-Capcom Developers
Just last week, Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami announced that his newest studio, Tango Gameworks, would be acquired by Bethesda parent company ZeniMax Media. This week, three of Mikami's former colleagues from Capcom and Platinum games have joined his studio.
According to Andriasang, Tango Gamework’s staff page was recently updated to show that the company had hired sound director/composer Masafumi Takada (Super Mash Bros. Brawl, No More Heroes), lead art and environment director Naoki Kataki (Gamecube remake of Resident Evil, Okami), and programmer Shinichiro Ishikawa (Devil May Cry, Okami, and Bayonetta). The studio also released a mysterious shot of the art below, which could be a hint at what the studio is currently working on.
Looks like Mikami has put together a solid group of talented folks. We can’t wait to hear what they're all working on.
