Ubisoft Unveils PS3-Exclusive Assassin's Creed Brotherhood DLC

by Matt Bertz on Nov 02, 2010 at 11:35 AM

Only PlayStation 3 owners are privy to a new set of missions starring infamous renaissance thinker Nicolaus Copernicus and Ezio Auditore.

You may remember Copernicus as the astronomer/priest/mathematician who first theorized that the Earth revolves around the sun and not vice versa. Though Copernicus died in the good graces of the church, the most well-known follower of his heliocentric theory, Galileo, was later condemned a heretic by the Catholic Church for supporting Copernican beliefs. In Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Copernicus is the target of a conspiracy constructed to defame his revolutionary theory. Ezio must help the Polish thinker with courier, escort, and assassination missions. You know, the usual.

PS3 owners can download the free Copernicus Conspiracy mission pack on November 16, the release date for Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. Hopefully Xbox 360 owners will get a crack at these missions in the coming months.

In addition, Ubsoft revealed a new playable multiplayer character for the game named the Hellequin.

She won't be hard to spot on rooftops, will she?
