Haunted House and Bloody Good Time Come To XBLA

by Matt Miller on Oct 28, 2010 at 11:45 AM

Two appropriately scary games are available for download today just in time for Halloween.

Most XBLA games release on a Wednesday, but these two new additions buck the trend and have arrived on a Thursday. Bloody Good Time is a first-person shooter exclusively built to deliver online multiplayer for up to 8 players. Set in Hollywood, the characters stalk each other through four unique game modes, entitled Hunt, Elimination, Revenge, and Death Match. The three levels are each different movie sets. Bloody Good Time costs only 400 Microsoft points ($4).

Also releasing today is Haunted House, a new exploration/adventure game based on the original Atari game of the same name from way back in 1981. The new game has you wandering through a darkened mansion among body-chilling ghosts and other horrors, albeit with an appropriately cartoon-like and kid-friendly sheen over top. Haunted House will run you 800 very scary Microsoft points ($10).
