Sony: First-Party PS3 Devs Are Hitting Their Stride

by Annette Gonzalez on Oct 24, 2010 at 09:30 AM

It's safe to say that within PS3's library, first-party developers have provided some of the more impressive offerings. Even with incredible titles like Infamous, Uncharted, and God of War already at retail, Sony Worldwide Studios Europe VP Michael Denny says that PS3 developers have now begun to hit their stride with the console.

"A big philosophy behind forming Worldwide Studios is that we can have a network of key first-party developers who are able to share ideas, best practice, thoughts - creatively and otherwise," Denny says.

The VP also says the PS3 still has plenty to offer, especially with the Move and 3D gaming.

"What's exciting is that we're five years into PS3 and developers are really starting to push PlayStation to its full potential," Denny explains. "Then you layer on top of that Move launching, then you layer onto that the potential of 3D. It's an exciting time to be involved in PlayStation."
