The lights are on
Fallout: New Vegas has arrived, and you can read Andrew Reiner's review of the game right here. However, if you want a taste of what it's like to experience the brand new wastelands of New Vegas for the first time, we can help you out. When the game arrived in the office a couple weeks ago, Reiner and I recorded a video with our live impressions of the first half-hour of gameplay.
This video includes the full intro to the game, a look at the stat-building and tutorial quests, some random desert exploration, and, of course, a few bizarre bugs -- a seemingly necessary part of the Fallout experience. It also features our commentary, with discussion on our past with the franchise and our immediate reactions to New Vegas. Enjoy, and let us know what you think in the comments!
It stops after 22 seconds, then says if you want to share it with anyone, etc.
I figured ide watch this since this game keeps overheating my xbox and makes it freeze. I'm feelin about the same way with you guys. The glitches arent as bad as most people say anyways.
Definitely a new feature. Love it!
Shooting dogs in Fallout 3 was part of the reason I didnt want to play anymore. That and I shot enemies in the face repeatedly and still got killed. VATS blows.
i wonder why the doc took your pants off if you got shot in the face
so yes the new iron sights zoom is new its also an option to have that or reticule sights(which work much better) and the HUD colors are changeable not just the same amber color but so far in my hours of playing since it came out i have found a few bugs but the system seems to be off in a way i cant quite see how but over all of that I feel that the game really is a great sequel but not exactly Fallout but it still is Fallout lol if that makes sense at all
you're not immortal in fallout NV.
especially in Hardcore.
ive never been afraid of five raiders in my life, but in vegas...
Nice!, im bought
I'm liking The Reiner 'n Phil Show. You guys need a theme song.
In this short play time you came across a npc walking into a wall, a guy floating, and another npc shooting at walls.
I will pass.
You could change the HUD color in Fallout 3.
you're really bad at this game. like, really bad. what difficulty is this on?
Reiner and P. Kollar together is like ice cold milk and an Oreo cookie.
I prefer these half-hour segments to the quick fifteen. I guess like having the commentary, its kind of like a bonus replay, except with a modern game.
Hey Reiner, want 1000 easy Gamerscore? I think Dan's familiar on how to get it from Fallout games, and that'd finally even you two out. Let Jeff know.
Reiner and Phil are like best friends for life now.
Too bad they can't Bro Toss in New Vegas.
Well you can change the color in Fallout 3 so I'm assuming you can change it in New Vegas too.
Ok dynamite is awesome.
See, this is why I keep my game volume up a bit higher than most during commentary videos. I don't like having to lean in to hear the game dialog, or turning master volume up and being blasted out by commentary.
Yes iron-sights is new.
Pick up everything, and make constant trips back. Definitely the better plan. Default player inventory size is higher in Vegas now also, so why not?
Remember that red is good, and amber (or whatever color you set your hud to) is good or neutral. Red blips on your compass shows enemies, red loot prompts will count as stealing and so on.
