The lights are on
In this week's episode, we play the intro level of the PlayStation classic Oddworld: Abe's Odyssey. Highlights include Ben and Dan farting and growling at just about everything, in addition to getting mowed down by hostile fire. As this is happening, Reiner and I are mainly trying to convince them that electrical fields give them extra lightning abilities and that mines are really power-ups. After the main event, stick around for Replay Roulette, where we play a game from Square that is a deviation from the role-playing titles the company was known for during the era of the original PlayStation.

This was truly one of my all time favorites. EVER. the only thing that pulled me away from the Oddworld universe was playing Halo Combat Evolved when it released for the xbox original when i was like 10. I even enjoyed Munch's Oddysee and Strangers Wrath, too. I really hate that Oddworld Inhabitants went under. I wish someone could "reinvent the wheel" here and do something to get this awesome studio to develop another title... I have hope lol
So, basically, the big buisness dudes want to start serveing their workers as food just to get a profit? That's messed up, but then agian, dosen't sound to far off from the truth. Great replay and replay roulette you guys, they didn't look to bad. Keep it up! Suggestion: Replay one of the old Ratchet and Clank games! Thanks!
Replay Conker's Bad Fur Day next, Joe Gooba.
I seem to remember Dan saying something about more Overblood coming soon, hmm...
Do one of these for Halo One. Or... nah, just wanna sugest that.
Chuck Norris is Loading, so get over it!
you guys should do spyro the dragon. i used to love that game.
Wow.... You guys are not proficient at Einhander. Although I probably shouldn't talk because I have that game, it is my favorite game of all time, and I play it a lot
Please make the next one about Earthbound.
Funny episode. I'm really glad Stranger's Wrath is coming to PSN and XBL. I've always wanted to play that game.
Both Replay games looked pretty good.
Cool Replay :P
It's funny I have Abe's Oddysee and Exoddus for PS1 but I've never played it. This Replay tells me I should XD
Whoever had the controller when you were playing Einhander sucks at video games wait.....it was Dan wasn't it?
It's funny to watch Dan fail at games, but occasionally, it's just too much.
I'm fairly certain that nothing would make me happier than to sit around and play some awesome old-school video games with you guys. You have the most kick-ass jobs. Period.
funny I thought replay roulette was also Ehrgeiz and got excited then everyone started hating on it.
Ah, the oddworld games. Good times. Aside from maybe say, Limbo, they just don't make 'em like they used to eh?
So, dispite watching the (awesome) cut scenes, I too, until just now, always thought that the big white spots on the sprite were his teeth. And the thin line above it his squinty eyes. Thanks for making me feel dumb.
This is definitely what I want to do with my life: play and write about video games for a living. Maybe one day...
As always, was a blast to watch.
I would *LOVE* to see a Replay around Sonic Adventure, Psi-Ops, and Alundra. Hopefully you guys can get around to it :)
So many memories from this Replay. Abe's Oddyssey's delayed jumping and complexity later on is quite the kick in the balls.
As for the description above relating to a strange Square game I immediately thought of Ehrgeiz. Yeah it was the poor man's Tekken with an atrocious 'rpg' that I kept futility trying to beat. As for Einhander, had the demo and rocked the crap outta it so then rented and proceeded to whoop moon-warrior ass.
