The lights are on
The latest project from Gaijin Games for WiiWare is only a few weeks away. Bit.Trip Fate will release on October 25. The game is the fifth in the notoriously challenging series starring hero CommanderVideo. Each of the four previous games implements music and rhythm into a unique gameplay mechanic, from platforming to a variation on Pong. The newest installment tackles the familiar shooter genre, but with a twist. CommanderVideo moves along a static curving line through the environment, and must dodge enemy attacks while staying on the line. At the same time, he can fire out various attacks to take down the hordes of enemies that stand in his way. Like previous games in the series, Bit.Trip Fate is extremely hard. And fun. You should consider checking it out when it releases this month for 800 Wii points ($8).
