The lights are on
UPDATE: Looks like EA is already on damage control with this one. In a statement, they reminded everyone that "critics' scores are highly subjective." Along with that bombshell announcement, they reiterated that Medal of Honor received the most pre-orders out of any game in the series. Continuing, the company said "This is an essentially big achievement considering Medal of Honor has been dormant for several years. This is the first year in rebooting the franchise. Medal of Honor is part of a larger EA strategy to take share in the shooter category. This is a marathon not a sprint -– today’s Medal of Honor launch represents a step forward in that race."
ORIGINAL STORY: Electronic Arts really wanted Medal of Honor to be the next Call of Duty. It had been heavily hyped, and the company even said it would get "dangerously close" to outdoing Activision's juggernaut. Unfortunately for them, it turns out that the game isn't very good. The gaming media aren't the only ones taking note, as EA's stock dropped 6% today.
According to Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter, "Shares [are] down because apparently some investors are disappointed by these early reviews." Tough news for the publisher, as they clearly expected the MOH reboot to be a big part of their holiday lineup.

Wow, this game just came out today, and already EA's stocks are dropping.
Well, I'm glad I didn't reserve this game when I was going to. Would have been a huge waste of money, because with all the great games out there, I don't have time for mediocre shite. Still, I never thought the backlash would be so hard and so FAST. I mean, less than 24 hours? Ouch
Oopsies?
lol EA stick with bad company and dont be so cocky about your products before they come out
man this is disappointing I that it would be the next big shooter but now.....
to bad :(
***! I guess that too much hype really screwed this game over. Kind of like Too Human!
With Halo's final chapter written and the third (supposedly final) Gears game out next year, maybe this is the beginning of the fall of the shooter. Thank god, I'm right sick of them.
Oh god, EA you cocky bitches, out of the frying pan...
Not to sound dumb, but I knew this would fail since the BETA, and i know that beta's are supposed to help developers improve the game, but hey now i can say 'I told you so'
Epic Fail.
damns, that's not good.
EA should have seen this coming. They where in a no win situation the moment they tried to put this game out.
The first hurdle was the fact that no matter what they wanted to call this game it would look like a blatant MW 2 knock off. They did nothing to distance them selves from MW 2, they kind of looked at the game and thought all they had to do was copy the setting. MW 2 had a huge story that stretched the globe and felt epic at every turn. EA did noting to get the game to that level.
It should be rule by now. Don't trash talk Call of Duty, and don't trash talk Halo. If you do, you lose, they are better than you and you open yourself to comparison.
Woops?
Ouch. That sucks.
***. Oh yea, and Lincon park? Really? You sad sad tool....
