Mortal Kombat Settling Into Kozy Li'l Online Nook

by Jeff Cork on Oct 12, 2010 at 03:41 AM

For a long time, the cast of Mortal Kombat roamed the Internet aimlessly, settling into temporary online digs only to be kicked out once a new game shipped. No more! Warner Bros. Interactive and NetherRealm Studios have launched a new site that at least five of its characters can call home. Visitors to TheMortalKombat.com will be able to check out a variety of "kommunity" (ugh) features including MKasts, discussion boards, and the all-important Kombat Chat.

Updates are planned for every Monday Mortal Mondays, though some server issues are keeping the site's content from being refreshed as of this writing. Eventually, fans will be able to get a deeper look into the pasts of five classic fighters, including Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Mileena (?!?).

After you've checked out the site, feel free to visit the official The Facebook page and follow the whole thing on The Twitter (@mk_mortalkombat). And until the site's temporary issues get sorted out, enjoy The Technikal Diffikulties.
