The lights are on
Back in the dark days of the original PlayStation, a secret cabal of the game industry's most talented creators spent a weekend secluded together in a dark catacomb, attempting to concoct an idea for the greatest video game ever (to feature comedian Dana Gould). The result? Gex: Enter the Gecko.
On this week's episode of Replay, Tim Turi, Ben Reeves, Andrew Reiner, and I look back on one of the most popular platformers that has totally faded away in the generations following its release. Does Gex still hold up? (Not exactly.) Will Ben die a bunch? (You know it.) Will any of us survive one of the most atrocious choices for a Replay Roulette yet? (Barely!) Tune in and see for yourself.

The end made me lol. Vrrrrrfff.
Great Replay, I've seen a double rainbow on the Gex replay, and I LOL at the end.
I checked out youtube for that final boss fight. Clearly it couldn't be that dumb or that they would give away excatly how it plays out. Yeah, it is that dumb and then some...Picture Rock Paper Scissors with a roulette wheel (ie you can't choose rock paper or scissors) and then to do damage you just bump into the final boss or run away if it is a bad match up. Incredibly dumb. Unless you like to see a train wreck carry out, don't watch it, ever....
Anyone remember "Clarissa Explains It All"? Man, I watched some bad TV in my youth.
I watched this video and then I searched around and I found this game, Except it's for N64, as I remember it's the same game though.
OMG That Roulette was hilarious. Especially when the cat flys at the screen for no reason... I'd rather play with something else that was loose and dumb though lmao
Fatal Labyrinth would make an awesome replay!
i loved the talking at the end. you guys are weird lol
Love this game as a kid.
The "S" cans are a "Popeye" reference. They is spinach.
Excellent episode as always. I remember Gek as the mascot for the 3DO. I'm so glad that I didn't buy that system.
hahaha! K Tim's baby jaguar is frightening!
I was so scared of that Scream TV lvl when I was a kid.
I'd play a reboot if they fixed all of the faults.
I'm like wanting to tell you about the titanic lvl at the top of the archway so bad!!
Make a video game with a really sad afro bad guy.
I remember that horror themed level scaring the hell out of me when I was a kid LOL
do buck bumble 64 next!!!!
You used my recommendation as a replay! :D
Overblood, make it happen. The people need to see you make it out of the very first room without freezing to death.
