A Sequel To The Darkness?
There's talk that the Top Cow comic franchise turned video game may be getting another installment.
We heard rumors back in July that developer Digital Extremes would likely be handling a sequel to The Darkness. Today, Joystiq had a conversation with Top Cow sales and marketing director Adam Freeman, who said that a second game in the series is far from an impossibility. "There are certain rights issues that we needed to clear up in order to move ahead with The Darkness 2. Those are getting cleared up. While there are no specific plans, it is definitely still on all of our minds."
We're going to go ahead and put this in the awesome news category, as we really liked a lot about the first game. A second entry might give new developer Digital Extremes the chance to polish up some rough spots about Starbreeze's original game and continue the story of Jackie Estacado.
