Prince Of Persia HD Collection Confirmed For Europe

We already had some pretty strong hints that an HD collection of the PlayStation 2-era Prince of Persia games was on the way, but now it has been confirmed by Ubisoft...for Europe at least.

Scrawl has the official word on what they're calling "Prince of Persia Trilogy." This PS3 release will include Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Warrior Within, and The Two Thrones with visuals upped to 720p resolution and stereoscopic 3D for those interested in that new trend. It will be available on November 19 in Europe for £29.99.

Strangely, Ubisoft has not yet confirmed that this collection will be making it to North America. I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd be interested, so let's hope they're just holding off on an announcement for some reason.

I hope they confirm it soon. And if not, then we better get the rumored Splinter Cell trilogy instead. If we can't get PoP then I need something SC-related to come to PS3, since we didn't get to play Conviction. Being able to play Chaos Theory again in HD would definitely make up for that IMO.

Why? There's literally no reason to exclude it. I'd be very disappointed if the Splinter Cell Trilogy is PS3 only.

I'm liking this trend of bringing some of the best series from the PS2 generation, bundling them together, giving them a nice shiny coat of paint, and selling them at a good price. They need to keep this up. Prince of Persia is a great series and well worth visiting again.

ubisoft need to look at the sale figures of the god of war collection for the ps3...i'm definitely buying it...onimusha is another series that needs to be redone in HD for the ps3...
