In celebration of a decade of Kingdom Hearts, creator Tetsuya Nomura delights in antagonizing his fanbase and destroying their hopes for a true home console sequel to Kingdom Hearts II.In Nomura's recent interview with Japanese publication Dengeki PlayStation, Andria Sang translated the following quote:"2012 is the 10th anniversary of Kingdom Hearts, so we'd like to do something to celebrate. However, I'll say this up front, just because it's the 10th anniversary, we still won't have KH 3 out (laughs)."If you're wondering what is on the horizon for the Kingdom Hearts franchise, here's what we know. Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded is coming out in Japan on DS in early October this year. Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep Final Mix is next in Japan (includes all the bonuses from the U.S. version plus a few more). Then it's Kingdom Hearts 3D for the 3DS sometime in the future. No one knows when Re:Coded is hitting North America, but it's probably safe to assume spring 2011. Final Mix will never come here. And 3D sounds like it's a long way off even in Japan.Oh well, you can always keep trying to earn that secret movie in Birth by Sleep, right?

If KH3 isn't happening yet than we need KH 1 and 2 HD re-makes. I would buy a PS3 just for that.
I'm guessing (praying)that it's an HD translation of the first 2 games on PS3.
Well I guess we won't see KH3 until the next gen then. I guess in a way thats a plus since I can't even imagine how awesome the next gen is going to look.
This is why Square Enix is starting to piss me off. Instead of working on their biggest games with huge followings, they make dozens of mediocre spin-offs until they finally decide to release the next canon game in the series 6-10 years later. For Christ's sake, I was 12 when I played Kingdom Hearts 2! I'm 17 now! And yet KH3 still won't even be ready by the time I'm 19.

I hope it's an HD port of the first two on PS3 with trophies and other stuff.
I'm waiting for the 3DS to come out so I can buy Kingdom Hearts:3DS, hey I waited this long for Birth By Sleep, and I waited not to long to find out when Sonic 4 comes out, so yeah I can wait, besides times speeds up when having fun, play games, hang out with friends and family, go to movies and stuff.

Jerks. I understand that pumping out games can ruin the series integrity. But that isn't the case here. They get off on withholding.
Make KH3 and remake FF7, Tease!
After all this time I don't even care about KH anymore. Seriously -- crapping out all these sub-par side stories with an unfinished story from the main games is insulting at this point, and makes you feel like they're just riding the cash cow until it dies.
If they don't care to make a sequel, then I don't care to look forward to one. Let's face it -- there are many other stellar games out there that are as good or better than KH. Unless you worship at the altar of Sora, there's no reason to bother waiting for this one anymore.
This is sad news indeed! Cleared BBS a few weeks ago, so most i have to look forward to is RE:Coded...which well, even though i am a HUGE fan of the series, just seems not that great of a game. 3D has shown nothing yet, but i really want some KH3 and nothing more. C'mon Nomura, stop playing with all these side projects and give me one more big shibang!
Then need to stop messing with us and make KH3 already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ARGH! give me KH 1+2 HD remakes for the ps3, then KH3 shortly after! please, enough handheld teasing! i'm so goddang tired of waiting! bleep blop bloop! the supposed KH3 was one of the big reasons i bought my ps3!

i love Kh but all these handheld spin-offs with no sign of KH3 is pissing me off. almost all the spin-offs (Chain of Memory, Coded, KH for 3DS) feature KH1's Sora. how convoluted and confusing can the plot get?! i can actually say i am sick off the series.
Earning the secret movie in Birth By Sleep was fairly easy to do (beat the game on Proud Mode). The movie at the end of the game (predictably) teases Kingdom Hearts III in a pretty significant way. I hadn't heard of Kingdom Hearts 3D, so I went and checked it out, and from the synopsis (and also its point in the continuity) I don't think the secret movie at the end of Birth by Sleep is teasing Kingdom Hearts 3D, I think it's teasing the next console title.
Also, in previous interviews, Nomura has stated that he's very interested in working on a Kingdom Hearts III for consoles -- the fanbase is there, the publisher is interested -- but that it won't even be getting started until after Final Fantasy Versus XIII is released in Japan. So, I think we've got quite a wait, but that's no reason to think it won't ever happen.
Its already enough that most people are still trying to get their hands on Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix but now he has the audacity to rub more facts that america is yet being left left out of something else from this deep series? What kind of Bananas is that?
