Pokémon Black, White Named Fastest Selling DS Game In Japan
This week was the launch of Pokémon Black and White versions in Japan and it sounds like copies flew off the shelves. Today Pokémon International announced that initial sales over the first week of launch totaled 2.55 million (1.88 million were pre-ordered) making it the fastest selling DS game ever in Japan.
Having been in Tokyo this past week for TGS, every DS owner I saw on the train had one of these carts in their systems. We can only wonder if Black and White will meet similar success when they launch internationally next spring. I snagged a copy out there, anyone else get an import? Or are you waiting for a local release?
