Lara Croft Coming To PS3, PC Next Week

PlayStation 3 and PC players won't have to wait much longer to get their hands on Lara Croft's latest adventure. Crystal Dynamics have announced that Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will be hitting those platforms Sept. 28.

"We can’t wait for PlayStation and PC gamers to get their hands on Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light," said Darrell Gallagher, general manager of Crystal Dynamics. "We’re committed to delivering the very best gameplay experience possible and the fact that this is the highest rated Lara Croft game since the original Tomb Raider was released back in 1996 is a testament to this. I would encourage everyone to try the free trial.”

Don't use up all your patience quite yet, though. As with the Xbox 360 version of the game, the PS3 and PC versions won't ship with online co-op. Look for an update that adds that functionality at a later date.

If you've beaten the game already, you still have something to look forward next month. Starting in October, five new DLC packs for the game will be released. Three of the add-ons are expansion packs, with new puzzles, levels, and battles. The remaining pair add new playable characters, including some "well-known videogame characters." Hmmm...
