The lights are on
I've found that I don't have the patience for papercraft. As much as I would love to line my shelves with awesome figures like the Gears of War mauler above, the time I invest into these creations usually ends with a crumpled paper heap in the trash. Papercraft is a far more challenging hobby than LEGOs or model airplane building. Precision and delicate hands are absolute necessities.
If you've developed the skill to make these beautiful sculptures, Alcione's mauler is the most challenging and detailed figure I've come across. You can find the instructions and pages right here.
Email the author Andrew Reiner, or follow on Twitter, Facebook, and Game Informer.
That looks amazing. I have the steady hands of a recovering alcoholic (ok maybe not that bad). I would botch this up big time.
I should try my hand at that :D
They look like legit action figures; *** right it looks hard to make.
wow. nice job!
What is it with all the papercraft news lately? Not that I'm complaining, but it just seems that, in the past two or thee months, the gaming world has been hit by a papercraft renaissance.
Good luck to any one attempting to make this. If you do, please have this song looping in the background.
Wow that must have taken forever. Nice work!
That is really impressive. I wouldn't stand a chance.
Th... That's paper?! *Head explodes*
But seriously, who ever made these are extremely talented! I would probably just roll up a ball of paper and call it a locust.
I cant wait for gears 3
While the paper craft itself is amazing, it's the paint job that really makes it outstanding.
The answer is no. Precision and delicate hands?
I'm a guy, not an embroiderer. Who wants to make these things for me?
Wow I wish I could but I don't have the patience if I did I would just get bored really easily when I would want it done asap!
Wait a minute...
"Gears of War papercraft is UNREAL"
Oh God Reiner, you make puns too?
this thing is GORGEOUS. i really need to get into papercraft
That`s awesome! I`ve never seen papercraft look so cool
Woah.... Kudos to anyone who makes this successfully.
My bar stops at the origami bird you get with Heavy Rain(and that was still hard for me).
The most creative I'll probably get is in Halo forge. There isn't a chance I'll make this.
