Inception Video Game May Be More Than A Dream

by Tim Turi on Sep 21, 2010 at 01:00 PM

Stepping out of the movie theater after seeing Inception, only one coherent thought rattled around in my mind amidst the confused awe – a video game based on it could rock. Apparently director Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight), agrees.

"One thing we are looking at doing is developing a video game based on the world of the film, which has all kinds of ideas that you can't fit into a feature film," said Nolan

If by “ideas that can’t fit into the film” he means more dreams, then he’s absolutely right. Any more sleepy time adventures must be delegated to a video game, which could leap between dreams like levels.

"That's something we've been talking about and are looking at doing long-term, in a couple of years," Nolan explains.

I’m supportive of the idea that any developer ambitious enough to take this project should take their time. However, if Inception: The Video Game remains in incubation as long as the movie did, will it still be relevant upon release?
