Ubisoft Announces Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood Beta

by Ben Reeves on Sep 16, 2010 at 01:50 PM

Check those pre-orders, and mark October 4 on your calendar, because that’s when Ubisoft will be releasing the multiplayer beta for Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood.

Beta codes will only be available on the PlayStation 3, and only go to those who pre-order the game from GameStop before September 25. Lucky gamers who have access to the game next month will be able to play as nine different characters such as the doctor, the priest, the executioner or the courtesan, and participate in two different 8-player modes. Wanted – a competitive mode where players try to outscore one another by killing assigned targets. And Alliance – a team mode where groups of players work together to take out other team.

We already liked what we’ve played of the game so far, and we can’t wait to see what the general public thinks once they get their hands on the game early next month.

[Full disclosure: GameStop is the parent company of Game Informer.]
