Latest Catherine Trailer Shows Off WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?

The original trailer for Atlus's new adult horror action game, Catherine, focused much more on the adult side of things. A new trailer released yesterday still has glimpses of some seemingly steamy scenes, but there's also a lot of much weirder stuff going on. For example: the creature in the image above: WHAT IS THAT THING?

Check out all the freaky happenings for yourself in the video below, and if you have any clue what the hell is going on here, let me know in the comments.

  • WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT? looks fun lol

  • I'm sure Japanese people look at american culture and think the same thing, but man are their interests wierd haha. Freakin' wierd trailer...
  • Japan in a nutshell.

  • That is what my craps look like. I've been trying to explain it to people for years...

  • If this is made by the persona team, no matter how weird it is, I'M BUYING IT.

At least it doesn't look like the persona from p3 that looks like a.....ahem

WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING????? SERIOUSLY?????? GAME OF THE YEAR BTW

  • cannot unsee

  • That... thing appears to be a butt with arms and legs. And a face. I personally found it funny how at the end the guy's phone said "You got a mail".
  • yep a butt caterpillar.

  • Every trailer confuses me even more

  • What... did I just watch...? Do you enjoy posting stuff that creeps everyone out Phil...?

  • 1:25 "You got a mail!"

    Nice.

  • Wow, freaky. Looks fun though.

  • Do want.

  • wow...um....i really don't know what the hell i just saw...i'm intrigued though

  • Is it messed up that the first thing I thought when I saw that thing was, "I wonder how it tastes?"

  • Apparently too much sex results in you turning into a goat.

  • Mod

I just want to know how it plays.  I expect weird from Atlus so it's not an issue but all they've told us about gameplay is that it's not an rpg.

  • Never played the Persona games. Not up for a 100 hour JRPG romp, no matter how stylish and cool it looks. So I'm really looking forward to this change of pace. I may not have personally played any of Atlus' previous RPGs, but I'll admit this in a heartbeat - NO ONE designs better monsters than the Persona team.

  • I don't care if this looks like something out of my nightmares...I wanna play it.

Hop they announce a U.S release. Persona series was worth it, after all.
