The lights are on
I just returned from PAX Prime 2010 yesterday, and I have to say I was disappointed by the small number of cosplayers at the convention. Sure, I saw male and female versions of Commander Shepard and a great line-up of StarCraft inspired costumes, but the cosplayers were not out in full force at this show. Reader HK-47 must have sensed my disappointment. He sent me the picture above in an email with the subject line "this could be you."
I can say without hesitation that I would never cosplay Okami's Amaterasu, but I would secretly follow this person for a good hour or two, as lunch and bathroom breaks could bring some huge laughs on my end. The costume is unbelievable. Some GI staffers were wondering if two people were in the costume, but you can clearly see that it is one person hunched over with stilt-like arms. This costume cannot be good for the back. And I can't make out what show this shot was taken at, but does this cosplayer really have to wear a badge?

My back hurts now...
Long arms, man. Long arms.
Isn't this Meagan's job?
Very cool, but very uncomfortable.
Oh, I love it! I've seen people cosplay Okami wearing painted body suits, but never a full on furry get-up. Pure awesome.
wow...
That is so unrealistic! Gosh!
Sweet, that must of took along time to put together.
Yep, saw this person at Otakon. It was awesome
I've never been to one of these events. Looks like I'm missing out.
What the...
It's gorgeous lol I love that game
Great Cos-play and all, I'd still take the chick he/she is with any day! Bow-Chicka-Bow-Wow!
The shot was taken at Otakon 2010.
He has to wear his doggy tags. lol.
That looks like it would be painful after a few hours.
Is there an EMT on site?
Major back problems in the end.
