San Francisco takes a blast from Russian forces, who now have their sights set on New York for their next attack. The explosive story trailer for Platinum Games' Vanquish shows off a crumbling Golden Gate Bridge, and stylized, fast-paced gameplay in action. Check it out below.

    Played the demo of this on XBL when I was sick and it was quite, quite awesome. Will definitely be picking this up on release day.

    I declare Platinum Games as the top Japanese developer of 2010 and it's at least in the top five overall developers in 2010. Bayonetta and Vanquish are both amazing. Good job, guys.

    I just played the demo yesterday. It was really impressive. I gotta tell you, the first time that I heard about this game was about 3 weeks ago on this website. I'm definitely going to keep watch over this game.

    The demo pwned the gameplay and controls were tight. The boss was a little easy but can see them making it harder. Looking forward to the game at launch.

    Vanquish just looks really sweet. I hope the gameplay manages to be as fast and more importantly, as fluid (or moreso) then it looked in the trailer.

    Epic. Looks like is going to be pretty hard, with it's fast combat. But, we need harder games, I think anyway.

    Demo was pretty cool, and if it has a good story to back it up then it could be a great game.
