Well, this is surprising. I hope RE6 isn't a reboot of the series, I love this series for what it has already accomplished. Anyways, I can't wait to see whats in store for the Resident Evil franchise.

I'm excited for RE6, but I just want them to change one thing: I don't want tank controls. It's been about 20 years since RE1 came out, and they still haven't fixed this.

That almost sounds like they're rushing it and that's my fear. Resident Evil 5 was a massive disappointment, which was surprising because RE 4 is one of my favorite games ever made, but RE 5 was all over the place. It became an action game and lost any survival horror elements it had left by the end. All I want is for RE 6 to be great. It's time to change the controls, bring Leon back, and make it scary again. I'll wait 5 years if it means it'll be near or better than the quality of RE 4. "soon" doesn't always mean "good" and I'm worried it won't be.

i totally love the direction that the series has taken, but i would definitely like to see a return to the true zombies of old and watnot

I would would really like to see some zombies come back for 6. I seem to be one of the few that really liked RE5. I have even been playing the *** out of it recently trying to unlock everything. I think i like it so much cause me and my wife play it together. But even playing myself is enjoyable. I agree the single player mode isn't as good as Resident Evil 4 because there's less to explore due to the game being designed for 2 people. Also, the last couple of levels are heavy on enemies with guns. (Which does suck) And there's the part where motorcycles chase you, too.  But as for it being Survival Horror, I don't see why it isn't. Its an action/horror game, just like all of them. Even in RE1 you played as specially trained people, where you get a shitload of guns including machine guns and rocket launchers. And by the end you're always running through labs and fighting all kinds of bio-weapon monsters. And Bio-weapon monsters were always the focus of the RE games. And RE1 wasn't scary at all. All that's the same in RE5 cept there's no zombies and the controls are much much better. There's tons of freaky monsters, like usual, in RE5. There's gory moments all through the game. You got Chris, Jill, Wesker, and the story (assuming you read the documents lying around) ties all the major Resident Evils together.  But still, lots of people, including some of my friends, don't like the game or think it's just ok. So I guess it's just my taste.

All the games have been good. Glad they moved away from dumb slow witted zombies. Hope they don't go back to the slow zombies that stumbled over ever bloody box in their path.

Sweet. Another RE is deff not a bad thing!!

I'm tired of people thinking that dead space was scary. Maybe I've become completely desensitized but I walked through that game without even a jump or shock.  

OT I'm craving a zombie filled, nextgen resident evil. Don't get rid of the tyrants though as they are some of the few enemies that ever really intimidated me.

I hope it's as good as 4 but better then 5 and as good as 1 but better then 3 and i hope it's at least half as good as 2 but 10 times better then the Umbrella Chronicles but way cooler then the Darkside Chronicles and even awesomer then 0 and as cool but better then code veronica X and 3 times as better then deadly silence but is funner then outbreak and way better then dead aim but more kick *** then survivor and even more kick *** then out break file 2 but not nearly as bad as gaiden.
