Dead Rising 2 Weaponry Leaks Into Monster Hunter Frontier
“Ever wondered what it would be like to use Dead Rising 2 weapons against the beasts of Monster Hunter?” asks Capcom’s official community blog. It’s probably safe to assume most of us would answer with “Um, no.” That’s not to say that the results of such a mash-up aren’t cool or anything.
Players who pick up the Japanese version of Dead Rising for the PC or Xbox 360 receive a download token, which can be used to unlock Dead Rising 2 weaponry in Monster Hunter Freedom. Those weapons include boxing gloves with knives taped onto them, the battering-ram moosehead, and the boomstick—a hybrid pitchfork/shotgun. In addition, four Terror is Reality jumpsuits are available to wear in the game.
This is the part where we now complain that Monster Hunter Freedom isn’t available in North America. We’ll have to settle for using these awesome weapons in Dead Rising 2. Oh well.
