The lights are on
We've known for awhile that the adventure game masters at Telltale Games have been working on a downloadable series based on the Back to the Future movies, but today the upcoming game got a giant dose of crazy-haired credibility with the announcement of Christopher Lloyd's participation in the project.
USA Today is reporting that Lloyd will voice the video game incarnation of Doc Brown, the Lybian-swindling scientist who learned the dangers of time travel in the iconic movie trilogy from the '80s. We also learned that Bob Gale, the man who wrote the screenplays for the films, will be helping shape the plot for the game. What that plot will entail is still unknown, but USA Today is reporting that the game will be set in Hill Valley, and feature the series' signature flux capacitor-fueled DeLorean.
The first downloadable episode of Back To The Future will be released this winter.

Best news ever.
An even bigger revelation is the fact that Christopher Loyd still lives
I wondered where he's been!
Awesome.
Coincidentally, I just saw the whole Back to the Future Trilogy a little while ago.
Music to my ears!
Awesome, I love this guy. I hope the game is good though.
And now we play the waiting game.
I just watched part 3 of back to the future a few days ago. I hope this game is good.
christopher lloyd is amazing!!!!
First Ghostbusters, now Back to the Future. "Tonight, we gonna party like it's nineteen-eighty-five!"
Hopefully its nothing like the late 80's NES BTTF 2&3(shudder). Other than that, it's great to see my favorite film franchise of all time(OF ALL TIME) get current gen game. I hope the developers will do it justice.
Great Scott! This is awesome!
This explains why Back To The Future is re-running on every TV station recently.
Is it just me or would Zac Efron be a great Martie McFly in a remake.
Ive loved the movies for years. I cant wait to have the opportunity to drive around hill valley in the Delorean, punching the crap out of Biff and his cronies.
Man i hope it's half as good as the first one.
Wah, that guy is still alive. And micheal j fox seems to have gotten his parkinsans under control, could a 4th back to the future happen?
This is going to be awesome. Though, I don't see how the Delorean could fit into the gameplay of a traditional adventure game- perhaps Telltale is taking a slightly different route than usual?
Love the DeLorean, it wouldn't be Back to the Future without it..
