The lights are on
Are you a PSP Go owner hoping to play Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep? Well, you're out of luck. Square Enix has confirmed that the title won't be available for download, meaning that you need a PSP model that actually plays UMDs. In a comment to IGN, a Square Enix representative confirmed that the company "currently has no plans to release Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep through the PlayStation Store." Considering that this title is one of only a few high-profile releases for Sony's handheld this year, it seems strange to limit the potential audience by neglecting a downloadable version. On the other hand, I may be overestimating the number of people who own a PSP Go.As a side note: While you won't have to worry about having enough space to download Kingdom Hearts, you should still keep an eye on your memory card space. If you want to play the game at its best, you'll need to install about 600 MB of data. It seems like a hefty requirement, but in my experience, hardcore Kingdom Hearts fans are willing to put up with a lot of things that don't make sense.

I'm still on the fence about this game. I love Kingdom Hearts, but on the other hand, I HATE handheld games. I mean, I'm finding it hard to play Peace Walker, and I love that game
KH has never done well on handhelds. Come on Square, give us a real game.
man, it seems to me that the psp go is having a rough time. on the other hand, this game looks awesome, and its a shame i don't have a ps3.
Sadly I am a Go user, I was looking forward to this game too.
I'm getting whatever PSP bundle this game comes in. Even though the PSP is all but dead I'm finally going to get this and a few other games.
Mehh... No PSP Go... No Problem...
pspGo! owners getting the shaft, way to go Sony.
Wow. That's a really nasty move on SE's part. =\ I mean, Is there REALLY any reason for not including a download version?
The Ds KH was epic and I loved the crap out of it. But I really hate prequels and the DS one was decent but this game is jumping all the way back to the very beginning.
I wish i knew more on the why not put it on download. I do not use it. BUT a company needs to make money so the can keep doing what they love, good games....
just wondering why really
Wow, this as well as the new God of War are the only reasons im currently holding onto my Go. If something doesn't change im just gonna put it up on amazon.
no one cares if it is downloadable just but it at game stop :p
It's reasons like this that I predicted that the Go would be a major flop.
Unless publishers decide to equally distribute their games among the PlayStation Store and UMDs, the system is simply not going to thrive.
In the end, we could see it having the same result as the SEGA Dreamcast, in which it had potential in its innovative features (such as online play), but wasn't quite practical for its time.
*Whew*, glad i got the 3000 model
lol thats beat news. I personally hate how they are making full game titles for the psp. I'd like to appreciate the game to the fullest, IE on a real system.
regardless to whuts happenin on the download front Im good 2 go with an ol skool psp. everybodys talkin like its not the same gamin experience on the psp. in my humble opinion its a lil better actually cuz itz portable and u can play when u got stuff that takes 4ever or like me at work. and if ur on the fence bout this dont be its amazin and well worth it if u have a psp trust me!
wow sony just reeeaaaly doesn't care about what customer's like do they?
This really sucks actually.. I have an old PSP 1000 but I still use the PSN to buy all my games. I only own about 3 UMDs but I have a 32Gig Duo in there. I hate having to cart around UMDs and was actually thinkin of upgrading to a PSP Go/PSP Smart phone some time in the future cuz I thought it was required that all current and future PSP releases be download enabled.. but if they can still not do so then I guess no upgrading for me
