Rockstar Details Liars & Cheats Pack

Rockstar released new details on the second of four DLC offerings for Red Dead Redemption today, the Liars & Cheats Pack. Available to download on September 21, the newest pack augments both free roam and competitive multiplayer modes. Check out the laundry list of new content below.

Multiplayer Poker and Liars' Dice Games

  • One of the most fan-requested features comes to multiplayer.


Multiplayer Horse Races

  • Ride out against your friends and foes online - with mounted combat guns blazing.


The Explosive Rifle

  • An devastatingly destructive new weapon with its own new single-player and multiplayer challenges.


7 New Gang Hideouts

  • Posse up and take on the new Hideouts together to level up quickly.


4 New Hunting Grounds

  • New Hunting Grounds are now visible on the map for all to see, with some of the most action-packed wildlife hunting yet.


Stronghold Competitive Multiplayer Mode

  • Teams take turns in attack and defense in multi-tiered Competitive games.
  • Posse Scoring and Leaderboards
  • Compare stats with other posses and compete to see who are the kings of the Free Roam frontier.


In addition to above, 15 new characters from the Red Dead storyline will be up for grabs in multiplayer. You can pick up the Liars and Cheats pack September 21 for 800 Microsoft Points/ $9.99.

    Sounds fun! Can't wait to compete against my friends in Liar's Dice. I actually tried to play that in real life but forgot that you need like 20 dice haha

    Looking forward. Adding 15 characters from Red Dead, its kind of interesting. I still would like more form Revolver though.

    I will not buy this. Oh who am I kidding, I just spent $10 on Vick's Vapor rub and beef jerky, of course I'll get it. I wonder if you can shoot dudes in poker if you get a crappy hand?

    I'd like to know who created the dollar to microsoft points ratio. I'm not traveling to another country, why do i have to do dollar conversions??

    This (to me) seems like a great value! If activision had made this it would easily be $20+. Thank God it's from Rockstar!

    So there's going to be one free roam for people with the DLC and one for everyone else? I don't like that idea, Rockstar. Don't divide the community like that.

    The freeroam stuff needs to be a free update, or the multiplayer community will be hugely split.

    IF this was not so close to Halo, I may have gotten it on day one. I will probably get it once I get bored of all the new games coming soon.

    Liars dice with other human players is gonna suuuuuuuuuuck. I'm intrigued by that "explosive" rifle though.

    More toys from the good folks at Rockstar! I was wondering when they would add the gambling and races to multiplayer. Not to mention that an explosive anything ROCKS! I can see it now - for our new patch, "Bombs and Fire" We've added an arsenal of explosives alongside the brand new... BAZOOKA!! heh... cowboys and bazookas...

    I'm impressed!  Niow I haven't played much RDR since I beat it and never got really into the multiplayer but this is a lot of stuff for $9.99.  Makes me want to pick up the multiplayer again.
