A few months ago, we picked who we'd like to star in the rumored Mass Effect movie. Now we're hearing rumblings of a Hollywood take on Rockstar's western epic Red Dead Redemption. Rumors would place Brad Pitt in the role of John Marsten, but we have our own picks for RDR on the big screen. Take a look.
John Marston - Viggo Mortensen or Sean Bean (take your pick)
Bonnie MacFarlane - Naomi Watts (King Kong, Mulholland Drive)
Nigel West Dickens - Brian Doyle Murray (Ghostbusters, Caddyshack, Groundhog Day, pretty much everything else his brother was in)

Holy ***, these are all perfect likeness. It's as if the characters were actually based off these people(wouldn't be to surprised). Please, don't let them cast Brad Pitt, he ruins everything now.
I thought the character Landon Ricketts looked familiar, I just couldn't place him.

I know I'm a year late here, but WOW awesome on the SJP call here. Also, I'm pretty sure that Landon Ricketts was modeled on Sam Elliott to begin with.

actually my pick for John is Christian Bale, Gene Hackman for Sheriff Johnson, Brian Dennehy for Dru McFarlean, Charisma Carpentar for Bonnie McFarlean, Sam Elliot as Ricketts, Sandra Bullock as Abigail, Ricard Dryfus for Ross. And c'me on, John doesn't need a nag. Frankly the horse looks better the Parker.
I have a still of Bale from both Reign of Fire and 3:10 to Yuma in a classic John pose and all he needs are the scars on the face and he looks just like him.
I always felt like Landon Rickets was Sam Elliot, even while playing the game. Spot on.
