  • aww, no deftones

  • The thing that I don't like about the Guitar Hero or Rockband games is that the lists of songs it comes with always seem to have just been thrown together to complete said list. However, Rockband 3 has a good seletion for everyone. Smoke on the Water? Awesome. Crazy Train? You won me over. I love Rock And Roll? FREEBIRD?!

I'm going to have a blast.

    Edit: RAINBOW IN THE DARRRRRRK!!!!
  • man they could've done better.  first step would've been to leave smash mouth off of here.  couple of decent songs on here, but a good chunk of "never heard of them" on the list.

  • When are these effing games going to get Ween already? There could be a whole dlc expansion based on Ween Live In Chicago and it would be awesome.

At any rate I'm not really in the market for music games, but if they came out with some tracks or something...

*edit* Also, doesn't Dio realize that you can't see rainbows when there's no light? Is he mad that as well as having the idea of D&D blatantly stolen from his dreams, the Gay & *** movement stole rainbows from him as well (or at least destroyed any chance rainbows had at being "bad assed")?

*edit* if I were a gay woman (go around, naughty naughty), I might find it offensive that the word L-e-s-b-i-a-n is blocked (meaning it's considered a "bad" word, which it isn't). Blocking that word is misguided.
  • I would love it if they could add some Bryan Adams.

  • I'm tired of people saying things like "they could have done better." What does that mean, have all of your favorite songs on there? These games aren't supposed to be a greatest hits mixtape of your life, just cause you've never heard of a song before doesn't mean it won't surprise you with how fun it is to play.

Almost all of the songs from Rock Band 2 were just pure fun to play, if you got over thinking so much about the song itself and remembered that you're playing a game with a toy instrument that's designed to trigger certain patterns and rhythms in your head, build coordination with your mind and fingers, etc etc.
  • I really wish that rock band and guitar hero wouldn't rip each other off. I mean like, 9 or 10 of these songs have been released. They've been doing that to each other since the very first rock band and guitar hero 3.

I just want a purely genuine setlist again, hasn't been one since gh2

  • For every song/band I'm excited about, there are about four I've never heard of. But those few bands that I'm aware of - The Police, Joan Jett, B52's - are enough to keep me happy.

Probably not going to buy it though. My Rock Band instruments are gathering dust in my basement, I don't need to whip them out for another game I'm going to forget about in a month, after it comes out.

  • Wasn't this confirmed last week as well? Why is it at the top of the news stories today?

  • Decent song list, I agree with the ripping off of Guitar Hero and vice versa though. There's a ton of songs here that were in GH1&2.

    People don't forget.

  • I want to see an Elton John pack or 3 now that we've got keyboard in the mix.

  • B-52's – Rock Lobster: LOL

Deep Purple – Smoke on the Water: EPIC

James Brown – I Got You (I Feel Good): ROFL

Jimi Hendrix – Crosstown Traffic: Hope this isnt hard

Ozzy Osbourne – Crazy Train: Yet again, EPIC

Tokio Hotel – Humanoid: not their best song

  • Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh why does the Rush song have to be the only song unannounced. Hope it's La Villa Strangiato.

  • Ugh Avenged Sevenfold?  I think I threw up a little in my mouth.

  • WooHoo! Whitesnake!

  • Pretty disappointed by this setlist. Maybe they did it intentionally so that we have to buy more DLC to be satisfied.

  • ahahah free bird finally.

  • ok so.... RB3 has Beast and the Harlot and FREEBIRD! YES! oh wait those was on Gh2...OMG!! it has Before i forget! oh wait..that was on GH3...CRAZY TRAIN!! no way!..hold on...GH4 had that with Mr. Crowley...hmmm...I'm pretty sure Guitar hero takes the cake and the pie in this one ladies and gents...also...how many of these songs actually have a keyboard? and why would you want to pay SO much extra money for the keyboard, drum kit and mustang and/or strat guitars? idk...it does not seem worth it to me

  • I'm still holding out for Stratovarius 'till the day I die.
